These knit blocks / slopers are master patterns that are to be used in developing patterns for various knit designs. When developing knit designs, these master patterns provide the designer with a consistent fit, silhouette, ease allowance, and armhole size needed for a specific knit design. Therefore, it is important to match the proportion, size and fit of the target customer. These blocks are used to make: Fitted Knit Top: leotards, bathing suits and body suits. Woven Dartless Block: dartless designs with a slight ease amount out of woven fabrics. Semi-Fitted Knit Top: knit designs with a slight ease amount. Man's T-shirt: knit designs with a dropped shoulder and shirt sleeve and shirt armhole. Sewing Directions are also included. Yardage Amount: XS-L: 2.5 yds - 48"-60" wide XXL-6X: 3.5 yds - 48"-60" wide SELECT THE CORRECT SIZE: Measure the circumference of the full bust measurement. Select the size by using this full bust measurement.

These blocks are master patterns that supplement the textbook Patternmaking Made Easy by Connie Amaden-Crawford. Dartless blocks can be used to create new pattern designs for blouses, shirts, vests, jackets, and various knit designs. The dartless blocks cannot be used for designs that feature bust fitting darts. However, waistline fisheye darts may be used if more waist shaping is desired.

Each block provides a foundational fit and ease specific to its style. For example, the Shirt pattern contains more ease than the Fitted Knit pattern. For custom patterns, each block should be test fitted in muslin before designing a specific pattern.
