CONNIE CRAWFORD, CEO of Fashion Patterns by Coni, Fashion Design Specialist, Educator, and Author, offers a special SEWING, FITTING, PATTERNMAKING, & DRAPING program for women of ALL SIZES, SMALL THROUGH PLUS SIZE!  

Within this workshop, she will fill in the missing gaps of sewing information and bring your skills to a NEW LEVEL OF UNDERSTANDING so that your sewing projects become much easier and more enjoyable.  

Take an inspirational journey through pattern fitting by learning simple couture draping techniques! Connie will share with you her 35 years of industry experience and illustrate fitting by draping on a custom dress form and a live model. This up-to-date draping approach results in the fit everyone is looking for -- true-to-the-body fit! Learn how to check pattern fit quickly and easily before cutting your fashion fabric. Connie will also demonstrate how to make a custom dress form and arm that assist the fitting process. Imagine finally being able to make garments without gapping necklines and button closures, badly fitting sleeves, or annoying pitching and twisting!  

Additionally, a basic pattern will be draped directly on a live model to demonstrate creating correct fit and pattern balance. Throughout the workshop you will learn styling and fitting techniques for dresses, sleeves, blouses, shirts, pants, and skirts. You will also learn how to identify and use garment details such as collars, cuffs, plackets, necklines, and other accent pieces to create the finished look you desire. Most importantly, Connie will demonstrate a pants/skirt draft and the fitting process for ALL SIZES, yet with a unique custom touch. At the end of the class you will feel empowered to create your own designs and know how to perfect the fit of muslin samples. This workshop provides a comprehensive learning experience that you will use over and over again!
